Because Zamora is a legend as a performer, there has been a slew of imitators who aim to duplicate Zamora’s act. One is so blatant that he dresses the same way as Zamora and has grown his hair like Zamora. Some of these imitators will actually tell you that they are connected with or trained by Zamora .
BEWARE! Zamora has trained no other performers and has authorized no one to imitate his act or use his name. If any other performer tells you that they are authorized or trained by Zamora, they are either self-deluded or more likely blatantly lying to you.
Before you hire another performer, ask them if they have heard of Zamora, and more that likely, they will tell you that Zamora “inspired” them.

If you think that you will save money by hiring an imitator, be warned. Some of these impostor acts demand a high fee, even though they do not the experience to back it up. And because they do not have experience, they put you and your venue at risk, as well as engage in unprofessional behavior which can hurt you financially.


One copy-cat act from Southern California was hired for an event on the East Coast. He missed three plane fights in a row and never made the event. The promoter lost hundreds of dollars in no-refundable airfare and their reputation was damaged when the promised performance was a no-show.


One group of imitators from Nevada has injured themselves numerous times during their performances, including one injury, sustained when the performer was drunk on stage, which resulted in a week-long hospital stay and $70,000 in medical bills.

Some of these performers say they have insurance, but do not realize that their insurance may not be valid if they are drunk or on drugs while performing. If they injure someone, you may be at risk.


Some of these “MySpace Sideshows” are obsessed with foul language and nudity. Although they may tell you they will not do this for your event, how can you be sure that there bad habits will not “slip-out,” either by accident or in perceived protest.
